1. Introduction

This Refund Policy describes Codcel's approach to refunds for subscriptions and credit top-ups purchased through our Services.

All payments for Codcel subscriptions and credit top-ups are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. By purchasing a Codcel subscription or top-up, you agree to Paddle's payment terms, privacy policy, and refund procedures in addition to this Refund Policy.

Refunds (where applicable) are ultimately issued by Paddle in accordance with their policies and applicable law.

1A. Language and Translation Disclaimer

Codcel may provide this Refund Policy and related notices in languages other than English for convenience. These translations may be generated or assisted by automated tools.

In the event of any inconsistency, conflict, or ambiguity between a translated version and the English version, the English version shall prevail and is the only legally binding version.

By using Codcel, you acknowledge and agree that all legal interpretation of this Refund Policy is governed exclusively by the English-language version.

2. 14-Day Refund Window

In accordance with Paddle's refund policy, you may request a refund within 14 days of your original purchase or subscription renewal date.

This 14-day refund right applies to both initial purchases and subscription renewals.

Refund requests are reviewed and processed by Paddle in accordance with their terms and applicable law. Submission of a request within 14 days does not guarantee a refund, but it ensures eligibility for review under Paddle's policy.

3. Subscription Refunds (After 14 Days)

After the initial 14-day window has passed, Codcel generally does not provide refunds for subscription fees once a billing period has started.

This means:

  • Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance for each month.
  • Annual subscriptions are billed in advance for the full year.

If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period, but you will not receive a prorated refund for any unused portion of that period (unless required by applicable law).

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Codcel account or Paddle's subscription management portal.

4. Exceptional Refunds

At Codcel's discretion (and subject to Paddle's approval), we may support a refund request in limited circumstances, such as:

  • Accidental duplicate charges;
  • Clear billing errors;
  • Technical failures on Codcel's side that materially prevent use of the service.

  • The email address associated with your Codcel account;
  • The date of the charge;
  • A brief explanation of your request.

5. Credit Top-Ups (Non-Refundable)

One-time credit top-ups are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or within the 14-day window described above.

Top-ups:

  • Are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase;
  • Do not renew automatically;
  • Require an active subscription in order to be purchased or used;
  • Expire if your subscription becomes inactive or when the 12-month validity period ends.

6. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider (a "chargeback"), Codcel reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services while the dispute is investigated.

7. Changes to This Policy

Codcel may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. The most recent version will always be published on this page with the "Last updated" date at the top.
